The funeral for a Syrian officer and two soldiers killed in a Turkish attack on military installations in the countryside of Al-Hasakah took place on Sunday.
Local media on Sunday reported that three soldiers were killed in a strike on one of the Syrian Arab Army’s border guard regiments between the towns of Darbasiya and Abu Rasin, while one officer was taken to the national hospital in Kamishli.
Ankara announced on Sunday morning it was launching a military air operation against Kurdish fighters in Syria and Iraq. Turkey believes the Kurdistan Workers’ Party members were behind the recent terrorist attack in Istanbul, although the PKK itself denies the accusations.
