From withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal to recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, former US President Donald Trump was counting his list of victories for Israel whilst being in office, as he addressed the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) via video-link in Las Vegas on Saturday.
“I withdrew from the one side and Iran nuclear deal and opposed the toughest ever sanctions on the Iranian regime,” said Trump addressing the audience at the Venetian resort hotel days after becoming the first declared GOP candidate of the 2024 presidential campaign.
Florida Governor, Ron De Santis, who many believe will emerge as Trump’s number one rival in the 2024 race, listed the Republican’s wins in the Florida midterm elections.
“We added four new Republican congressmen to the US House of Representatives from the state of Florida. We secured supermajorities in the Florida legislature, the most Republicans we have ever had in Florida history,” stressed De Santis.
The Republican Jewish Coalition meeting marked the first time prominent GOP members were gathering after their underwhelming performance in the midterm elections.
