Hurricane Nicole on Thursday eroded beaches along Florida’s east coast and dropped several homes in Daytona Beach Shores into the sea.
Footage filmed on Friday shows collapsed condominiums near the ocean.
“Couple days before we had walked the beach and seen the damage from Hurricane Ian and just knowing all that damaged, we were thinking: ‘Man, what’s it going to look like in a couple of days?’ And I could never have dreamt, it just looks like a warzone here,” said Bob, a condominium resident.
According to local media quoting the police, no one will be allowed access to at least 15 condominiums in Daytona Beach Shores until an inspector deems them safe for entry.
