We’re almost at the turn of the season, the days are getting brighter and wedding season is coming – it’s almost spring! With the brighter days come brighter flowers, so if you’re unsure of what flowers are in season during springtime, today we’re here to help…
Tulips: Available in so many colours and varieties, tulips are an unsung hero that we love seeing pop up in wedding bouquets. Look out for unusual parrot, double and French tulips for an extra special touch.
Narcissi and daffodil: Daffodils symbolise new beginnings which is perfect for a bride on her wedding day. With a vibrant range of white, yellow and orange available your florals will be fresh and zesty.
Anemone: Available in striking shades including white, red and purple, anemone can give a bouquet a truly modern edge, whilst also working in romantic styles. Add some roses and trailing greenery for a boho look.
Ranunculus: Known as the winter rose, ranunculus are frilly, romantic and delicate, perfect for a spring bridal bouquet. They are available in lots of gorgeous shades including white, pink, coral and burgundy.
Hyacinth: These gems are highly scented and are actually a member of the asparagus family! With their large heads and short stems they work best in bouquets and table centres.
Lilac: With gorgeous shades of lavender, pale pink and white, lilac is a sweet smelling bloom that will instantly add a romantic feel to your day.
Sweet pea: The most delicate of flower, sweet pea is ruffled perfection. They have a gorgeous perfume that will add scent to your day and are available in a huge range of colours.
Muscari: The tiniest little flower that work perfectly as a something blue. They work amazingly in glower crowns and buttonholes or dotted down a table in petite bud vases.
