From bolstering security measures to providing energy resources for winter, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store emphasised their respective countries’ support for Ukraine at the Berlin Security conference on Wednesday.
“Russia must understand, we will continue to support Ukraine FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES economically,” said the German leader in his remarks.
Gahr Store on his part said “a major pledge, multi-year, for Ukraine” has already been delivered to Norwegian parliemant for 2023.
“We assist Ukraine in coming through not only this first year but coming four or five years and the package we will propose to parliament is consisting of support to Ukraine substantially.”
Moscow launched the military offensive in Ukraine earlier this year, after recognising the independence of the LPR and DPR.
Kiev condemned the action, while President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered martial law and full mobilisation in February.
