Thousands of excited football fans gathered at a World Cup fan zone in Mar de Plata on Wednesday, as Poland and Argentina went head-to-head in their last game of the World Cup group stage.
Fans of all ages were seen waving flags and chanting, waiting in anticipation for Argentina to make a breakthrough against their Polish adversaries.
The Group C match ended with a 2-0 victory to Argentina, with both goals hitting the net in the second half. The Albiceleste secured their place at the top of Group C and will precede to the knockout stages.
Despite being outclassed by the Argentinian squad, Poland would also make it to the round of 16, having recorded a superior goal difference to Mexico.
