The Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and the British Army conducted joint field training drills, ‘Vigilant Isles 22,’ as seen on Saturday in Gunma.
Footage features transport helicopters flying and delivering soldiers. Troops from both countries could be seen on the field queuing, getting into position, and working with equipment such as advanced weapons.
The exercise will continue until November 30 in Japan. The purpose of the bilateral exercise ‘to develop JGSDF’s operational capabilities and to promote a mutual understanding and trust between the JGSDF and the British Army.’
