Costa Rica football fans appeared devastated as they watched Spain trash their national team at the World Cup in San Jose on Wednesday.
Fans could be seen holding their head in their hands, as La Roja scored seven goals to record a historic win at the Qatar tournament.
“Terrible, terrible, we had all the expectations, and we still believe in a strong team. We are with pain in the heart now,” said a fan.
Costa Rica will face the group leader Japan in their next match on Sunday, November 27.
