Hundreds of jubilant Japanese fans loudly celebrated their national team’s historic World Cup win against Germany in Tokyo on Wednesday.
Supporters packed in an indoor watch party at the Tokyo dome chanted and cheered as Japan recorded an unexpected win (2-1) against the German side.
“I’m incredibly happy. Thrilling with my heart pounding. They won. We won. I’m so happy. It’s the best. I’m so happy,” one fan declared.
Japan will face Costa Rica next and could clinch its place in the last sixteen of the tournament with a win.
