Berlin kick-started its ice-skating season on Saturday as the German capital welcomed fun-loving locals back into its ice rinks.
With the first snowfall this year in Berlin, skating enthusiasts of all ages gathered in south Berlin’s Lankwitz ice rink for a few spins.
“You can get a little bit of air. It is also a very familiar atmosphere, very pleasant,” said a visitor.
Berlin transformed to a winter wonderland on Saturday as it turned white with the first snow of the season.
