Spain: Falangists rally in Madrid to commemorate leader’s death anniversary

Dozens of Falangist demonstrators rallied the day before the anniversary of the death of the founder of the party, Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, on Saturday in Madrid.

Demonstrators sang Cara al sol, the anthem of the Falange movement, and marched through central Madrid with flares.

Falangism is a fascist political movement that was founded in Spain by Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera in 1933. Primo de Rivera was executed by the Spanish Republican government on November 20, 1936, during the Spanish war.
