France: Yellow Vests protest on fourth anniversary of movement in Paris

Yellow Vest protesters held a rally in Paris on the fourth anniversary of the start of the movement, Saturday.

Protesters took to the streets to denounce President Emmanuel Macron’s economic policies and demand better wages in the face of massive inflation.

Hundreds of them scuffled with police officers equipped with riot gear, that used tear gas and arrested at least one.

The Yellow Vest movement began as a series of weekly protests in France initially focused on fuel prices and the cost of living, before broadening their aims into social and economic justice and public spending.
