Hundreds of protesters gathered in Lahore on Friday to show their support for former Prime Minister Imran Khan following an attempt on his life during an election rally.
Huge crowds of demonstrators were seen waving flags of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party during the event, which was organised by the Pakistan Justice Movement.
Protests erupted in several cities across Pakistan after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured in an armed attack during a political rally in Gujranwala on Thursday.
Imran Khan sustained a non-fatal injury to his leg and is currently receiving treatment at DHQ Hospital. Several people were injured and one supporter was killed during the incident, which has been described as an ‘assassination attempt’.
