Disneyland in Shanghai was left deserted on Tuesday after it suspended operations on Monday, October 31 to comply with COVID preventive measures.
Visitors were initially barred from leaving the park until they could produce a negative test leaving hundreds stranded in the park for hours while testing was carried out.
The closure came after a 31-year-old woman who had visited the park among other places tested positive for the virus.
Shanghai reported 10 locally transmitted cases of COVID on Saturday. On October 30, new cases in mainland China reached 2,898, surpassing 2,000 for the second day in a row, according to official data.
China has always taken very strict measures to ensure its zero-COVID policy.
