Arab leaders arrived in the Algerian capital Algiers on Tuesday for the first Arab League summit since normalisation deals with Israel that have divided the region.
Algeria is hosting the 31st summit of the Arab League on Tuesday and Wednesday. The 22-member bloc held its last summit in 2019.
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) vice president and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres attend the summit.
