Footage filmed on Friday features police officers outside US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s residence in San Francisco after her husband was attacked.
David DePape, 42, a suspect, was reportedly searching for the House speaker and will be charged with attempted homicide, among other charges, according to the police. The motive is still being determined.
Paul Pelosi, 82, underwent ‘successful surgery’ to repair a skull fracture and other ‘serious injuries’ sustained during the assault and is expected to make a ‘full recovery”, according to media reports citing Nancy Pelosi’s longtime spokesperson, Drew Hammill.
U.S. Capitol Police said that Nancy Pelosi was in Washington, D.C. at the time of the break-in.
